At PeKa Kelpies, we are dedicated to breeding healthy Working Kelpies with natural instinct, plus good nature and temperament. Our passion for this breed drives us to maintain quality bloodlines.
We were both raised on the land.
We each left home to join the military. Kate returned to the land and kelpies in 2010. Kate has owned kelpies since childhood. Peter returned to the land at the same time whilst still serving. Peter has had numerous working dogs of differing breeds.
After service we spent time in the city for children's sports yet never letting go of our love for the land and the breed. When our children were old enough we returned to the land.
In 2024 Kate worked preparing dogs for another breeder for auction. At this time it was suggested we start breeding ourselves to continue particular bloodlines.
Hence, PeKa Kelpies was born.
